Trailer Park: “127 Hours”

Danny Boyle’s follow-up to Slumdog Millionaire tells the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston (James Franco), who, in 2003, had to amputate his own arm after being crushed by a boulder.  While this doesn’t scream Oscar-bait, neither did Slumdog. And with the film on everyone’s radar, and with Franco’s status as an up-and-coming leading man, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a major player come Oscar night.

As far as the preview itself goes, I wasn’t blown away or anything.  That being said, it cuts off just as the main incident occurs so the thrust of the narrative (and Franco’s acting showcase) is still as-of-yet unseen.
